Barbara Sinisi is from Wethersfield, Connecticut, but spent most of her childhood roaming North America and Europe. Barbara received her BA in illustration in 2015 from Western Connecticut State University and returned for her MFA in painting in 2018. Storytelling has always been a big part of her life. She draws inspiration from her travels, spelunking adventures, and summers spent on the family farm in Poland. She is also inspired by cartoons, mysteries and interesting shapes. Barbara believes keeping childhood magic alive is an absolute must for leading a creative life. She uses a variety of materials, whimsical shapes and expressive mark making to make her creations come alive.
